Wright hits back during France vs Denmark

Wright saw Lynam's comments on Twitter and felt the need to address them.

"How's Des vex that Laura called me "Wrighty"!!! Looking for something negative to write. Kmt," he wrote on Twitter.

He went a step further on Friday as he couldn't resist subtly mocking Lynam for his comments during the match between France and Denmark.

After Woods asked Wright a question related to the game, Wright went on a tangent and started: "You know what Lozza... It doesn't matter. You don't have to call me Ian. Call me 'Wrighty'."

Laura Woods also hit back at Lynam

Woods also did not take kindly to Lynam's comments.

"Jeez. Of all the things covered this is what made Des wince?" She jokingly commented on her Twitter page.

It appears that Wright and Woods will continue to call each other by their nicknames - whether Lynam likes it or not.
