Fans are concerned that Neymar will miss the rest of the 2022 World Cup after new images of his ankle were posted on his Instagram story.The Brazilian superstar is set to miss his national team’s next two Group G matches against Switzerland (November 28) and Cameroon (December 2).But new images have emerged showing a concerning amount of swelling around Neymar’s right ankle.

It’s clear that he hasn’t given up hope of making the knockout stages, but it’s not looking good for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

However, if there’s even a remote chance that Neymar will be fit to play in the latter stages of the tournament in Qatar then he will remain with the Brazilian squad.

Neymar would be a huge miss for Brazil

Brazil are the current favourites to win the World Cup but the absence of Neymar would be a massive blow for the South American nation.

It will put even more pressure on the likes of Richarlison, who scored both of Brazil’s goals against Serbia, over the coming weeks.
