The match, according to PWInsider, is slated to main event Survivor Series tonight, as many fans expected would be the case.

What is being planned for Survivor Series?

Triple H, with Survivor Series being the final WWE pay-per-view of 2022, will be hoping to exit this year in a big way.

It has now emerged, courtesy of a report from PWInsider, that the final WWE pay-per-view match of this year will be the men's WarGames match.

As of this morning, The Men's WarGames match was slated to close the Survivor Series PPV.

Many fans expected, with Roman Reigns being WWE's top star, that the men's WarGames match would main event the show, and we've now got confirmation of that.

The match is significant for a few reasons, and could reveal several of the plans that WWE has for the coming months.

The match features Sheamus, Owens and McIntyre, all three of whom ae gunning for Reigns' Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The feeling amongst fans is that whoever gets the deciding fall in the match, should The Bloodline lose, will be Reigns' next challenger as we head into 2023 and out of 2022.

The match will also feature more storyline developments involving Sami Zayn's relationship with Owens, and Jey Uso's issues with the former NXT star's inclusion into The Bloodline.

With all that considered, the men's WarGames match really could end up being one of the best and biggest matches WWE has put on all year.
