Jaswal presented the show at the Education City Stadium in Doha, while former England stars Carney and Aluko imparted their expert knowledge as pundits.

Danish player Nadia Nadim, who is currently recovering from an ACL injury, was also due to be involved, but stepped down following the sudden death of her mother on Tuesday.

Carney later shared a photo on Instagram of the record breaking panel, alongside the caption: “Wow… first ever all female on screen panel at a men’s World Cup. Thank you ITV Football.

“Blessed to have been alongside the amazing Seema Jaswal and Eni Aluko”
