Sami Zayn turning on Kevin Owens and siding with The Bloodline has been labelled as "the best story ever" by one WWE fan.

At Survivor Series last night, inside WarGames, Sami shined as The Bloodline beat Owens, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland to close out the show.

Fans thought that WWE may have Sami kicked out of The Bloodline at the show, but instead, he was fully accepted into the group after helping them beat the babyfaces.

What happened with Sami Zayn at Survivor Series: WarGames?

As noted, the finish to Survivor Series: WarGames has been one of the best-received endings to a WWE show in quite some time.

For those that haven't seen the match, Zayn low-blowed Kevin Owens, both his storyline and real-life best friend, before hitting him with a Helluva Kick and allowing Jey Uso to pick up the win.

You can check out the finish to the match, including Zayn's incredible turn, in the embedded video below...

The turn was incredible, mainly due to the detailed storytelling and emotional character beats that have gone into it over the coming weeks.

In fact, fans have been so high on what they saw last night, that as you can see below, one has even called it the "best story ever".

What else happened at Survivor Series: WarGames 2022?

The rest of Survivor Series was eventful too, with Triple H wanting to give fans a flavour of what they can expect to see next year in what was the final WWE pay-per-view event of 2022.

The show kicked off with the women's WarGames match, with Becky Lynch winning the match for her team against Damage CTRL, Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross.

Next up, AJ Styles picked up his first singles win on pay-per-view since October 2019, beating former stablemate Finn Balor in a highly-anticipated singles match.

Shotzi was then unsuccessful in her attempts to wrestle the SmackDown Women's Championship away from Ronda Rousey, with the former MMA star winning thanks to some help from Shayna Baszler.

And then, Austin Theory beat Seth Rollins to capture the United States Championship in a three-way match that also featured Bobby Lashley, becoming a two-time champion in the process.
