Sami Zayn, coming out of WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, is arguably now the hottest character in all of wrestling.

While fans have appreciated Sami's work for quite some time now, there has seemingly been a newfound appreciation for the former NXT star following his showing at Survivor Series: WarGames last night.

In fact, Sami is doing such great work right now, that fans are even calling for him to beat Roman Reigns for this Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

What happened with Sami Zayn at Survivor Series: WarGames?

As noted, Zayn stole the show at WarGames, reaffirming to Reigns, The Usos and the WWE Universe that he is 100% committed to The Bloodline.

During the match, Zayn turned on Kevin Owens, attacking his former best friend with a low-blow and Helluva Kick, before allowing Jey Uso to pick up the win.

What else happened at Survivor Series: WarGames last night?

The rest of Survivor Series was huge too, with Triple H wanting to put his full stamp on WWE's creative direction in what was the final pay-per-view event of the year.

The show last night in Boston opened with the women’s WarGames match, with the returning Becky Lynch winning the match for her Bianca Belair's team against Damage CTRL, Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross.

In the second match, AJ Styles picked up his first singles win on pay-per-view in over three years, since Crown Jewel 2019, beating former stablemate Finn Balor in a hugely exciting singles match.

Shotzi was then unsuccessful in her title match against SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, with the UFC Hall of Famers winning thanks to some help from her new ally, Shayna Baszler.

And then, Austin Theory beat Seth Rollins to capture the United States Championship in a triple threat match that also featured former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, becoming a two-time title holder in the process.
