Morocco took a giant step towards qualifying for the round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup with a famous win over Belgium on Sunday afternoon.Understandably, many football fans feared for the Moroccans as soon as they were drawn in the same group as Belgium and Croatia - who formed half of the final four in 2018 - at Qatar 2022.However, despite the north African nation having to face down both European giants in their opening two games, they remarkably find themselves in partial control of Group F on four points.

Having held 2018 finalists Croatia to a 0-0 draw in their curtain-raiser, Walid Regragui's men went one better by putting a Belgium side featuring Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne to the sword.

And from the moment that the ball squirmed its way through the Real Madrid star's finger tips, you really did get the sense that a historic evening was unfolding at the Al Thumama Stadium.

Nevertheless, that electricity in the air crackled into pure fireworks when Zakaria Aboukhlal fired past Courtois in stoppage time to secure the three points for certain.
