Seth Rollins’ slow-burning face turn moved another step closer last night when his incredible relationship with the WWE fans was once again demonstrated.

Rollins has been a heel for much of the last three years but such is his incredible talent, brilliant character work and now decade of service in the company, fans are finding it near impossible to boo him. That is despite him being a despicable villain in recent feuds with Edge, Cody Rhodes and Matt Riddle.

What has also swung the fans back in Rollins’ favour is his undeniably catchy, fun and sing-along theme music, which has become a feature of both Raw and pay per views over the last six months or so.

This Monday’s Raw was no different, and saw Seth once again conduct and manipulate the crowd to his lead, like only a true megastar could. Behind Roman Reigns, he might just be the No. 2 guy in the company, much to his chagrin if recent interviews are to be believed.

Rollins had interrupted the new United States Champion, Austin Theory, who had fluked his way to a victory over him and Bobby Lashley at Survivor Series on Saturday night. Dressed like Prince, “The Visionary” made his way to the ring with the fans bellowing his theme music.

Once in the ring, he told Theory to simply “shut your mouth and let them sing.” Take a look at the clip below (shared on WWE’s official Twitter account) to see a true master craftsman at work.

Rollins’ music is one of the few memorable entrance songs created in recent times, with most of the current superstars’ themes in stark contrast to the Jim Johnston glory days. Triple H was one of such iconic superstars to have equally iconic music, and his leadership of creative may lead to more epic entrances.

The short angle on Raw saw Theory proclaim that his time was “now and forever” and Rollins look to claim his rematch for the title while also congratulating the “kid” on his success. Being a heel, Theory of course said the match would happen on the champ’s time, while also being noticeably peeved at Rollins’ comments.

It seems the two will now engage in a feud which should take both towards the end of the year. It will be interesting if it is referenced that Theory was once upon a time a disciple of Rollins while he was the “Monday Night Messiah.” It could make the feud all the better.

What seems for certain is that Seth will be even more heavily cheered going against a cocky upstart in Austin, and coupled with his entrance music, a full-blown babyface run cannot be far off.
