Roman Reigns was said to be "very unhappy" with Kevin Owens after the WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series.

Reports from Fightful Select emerged last night which claimed that Reigns took issue with Owens over an unplanned spot during the main event match.

And now photos of Reigns after the match have come to light, and it's pretty clear to see why he was so angry.

Why was Roman Reigns so unhappy with Kevin Owens?

The Wrestling Observer has claimed that an unplanned slap from KO rocked Roman quite badly, so much so that he was complaining of a potentially ruptured ear drum once he got backstage after the match.

In fact, footage of the exact moment that Roman took issue with Owens has emerged online, and it's clear to see why the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion wasn't best pleased.

To back that up too, an image of Roman's face after the match has emerged online, with a very visible bruise forming pretty quickly on 'The Tribal Chief'.

Roman was noticeably rocked by the slap, which resulted in a mark forming under his eye pretty quickly, so it's really not hard to see why he was so irate at Owens.

Things between Owens and Reigns were apparently sorted out pretty quickly, but it's not hard to see why the WWE megastar was so angry with his colleague on Saturday night.

Latest news on Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens

Triple H will be hoping that Roman and KO can sort out their issues, as WrestlingNews.co is reporting that the pair are set for a match in January 2023.

The report states that Owens will challenge Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble on January 28 of next year.

That will lead into a match between Reigns and Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber on February 18 Montreal, which is Zayn's hometown.

Then, just under two months later at WrestleMania 39, KO and Sami will reportedly challenge The Usos for their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, a match they are expected to win.

GiveMeSport will, of course, keep you updated with all the latest information surrounding Owens, Reigns and Zayn as we head out of 2022 and into 2023.
