Mike Tyson has said that it would be “really interesting” if he was to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match as he offers perfect response to interviewer asking him about potential scrap.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has enjoyed an excellent start to his boxing career since starting out in 2018, as he has beaten fellow YouTubers as well as some combat sport professionals.

AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley were the first to fall to The Problem Child, before his latest fight against a UFC legend.

In his most recent fight that took place at the end of last month, Paul beat Anderson Silva via unanimous decision in America.

Paul’s performance against Silva won plenty of plaudits, as those watching the fight believed that if he maintained those performance levels in the ring, then he will go far in his career, which is a healthy place to be in for the American.

The fact that he won against someone who had previous boxing experience, albeit minimal, was seen as a coup for Paul, and it can send a message out to his critics that he does indeed belong at this level and in this sport.

As always in sport, the big question is what is next and fans always want to know what they've got coming their way, that's where none other than Mike Tyson comes in.

Will Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul happen?

There has been some suggestion that Paul and Tyson could lock horns in the ring, which has the power to revolutionise the sport.

For example, his fight against Ben Askren sold 500,000 PPV buys in April 2021 and if the fight between Tyson and Paul was to go ahead, then the viewing figures would be off the scale.

Tyson, once in a interview, spoke about how Paul is propelling the sport to new heights thanks to his following on YouTube, where he has 20.4 million subscribers, and as a result of his fame and popularity, it means that there will be millions wanting to watch him in the boxing arena.

"That could be very interesting," Tyson said. "I never really took it serious, but yeah, it could be really interesting. Everything is possible, yeah. But it gotta happen this year. It gotta happen this year.

"He's skilled enough, yes. I'm gonna give it to him. He's skilled enough because he's winning. Even if he's fighting guys that you guys don't believe is a good enough fighter, they should be able to beat him, but they can't. He's beating people that he shouldn't really be beating. We got to give him that credit.

"And he's doing so much good for boxing. Listen, this guy got 70 million people following him every time he fights. Champions of the world don't have that many people following them. So what he's doing for boxing is just sensational. No one should be hating on that. He's helping everyone get money. Why are people mad at him?"

So there you go, if the legend that is Mike Tyson can be relatively positive about Jake Paul, why can't we all?
