Tyson Fury made a triumphant return to the boxing ring this evening as he put on a dominant display to down his old nemesis, Derek Chisora at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after another exceptional night of boxing.

The fight pretty much went to script, both boxers at different stages of their career and one a much better fighter, there was only one outcome when they stepped in the ring for the third and what will have to be, final time.

Even in previous bouts, Fury was so dominant he asked the referee to stop the bout to protect Chisora, so tonight’s fight was always going to be one way traffic.

Hopefully we get to see a much tougher challenge for The Gypsy King in his next bout as he will surely be after an undisputed bout in the heavyweight division, making history as the first man to achieve that in over two decades.

However, all that matters tonight is that Fury got the comfortable victory as expected, securing the technical knock out on opponent in the 10th round, asserting his dominance over Del Boy once and for all, leaving no doubts about the gulf between the two.

Tonight’s bout just further perpetuated that idea, with the obvious mismatch between the two evident for even the most novice boxing viewer.

Tyson Fury KOs Derek Chisora in trilogy fight

History repeated itself as Chisora was unable to deal with the power that Fury had in the fight. The Gypsy King made his size and weight advantage over Del Boy apparent, wielding his knockout power.

I’m sure the attentions of Fury will be switching to the World Cup, with the WBC heavyweight champion of the world admitting in the build-up to the fight that he was eager to get messy with the England fans in Qatar. He also admitted that he would love to go on a night out with Jordan Pickford, that will be one unreal celebration should England make it a Fury/World Cup double.

He may not make it for the clash with Senegal tomorrow evening, but with England the heavy favourites in the last 16 clash, Fury will be hoping to watch three England games whilst celebrating yet another win in his career over Chisora, ultimately ending by celebrating football coming home for the first time since 1966.
