Tyson Fury retained his WBC heavyweight title in his trilogy fight with long-term rival Derek Chisora, forcing the referee to stop the fight in the 10th round after The Gypsy King crushed his opponent, who was out on his feet at that point.

The fight wasn’t well received, with many expecting the fight to go exactly how it did given the complete mismatch of the two fighters, with more headlines made for what was going on around the fight.

So much so that the post-fight antics actually made more headlines than the fight itself, with Oleksandr Usyk watching the fight from ringside before coming up to the ring after the fight to share a face-off with Fury.

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk

After the face-off last night, it looks certain that we’ll finally get this fight, with the chance to see an undisputed heavyweight world champion for the first time since Lennox Lewis in 2002.

Fury was stood shouting abuse at Usyk, who just looked on and laughed at him, also managing to take a phone call during the chaos, showing just how cold he is, it’s certainly gearing up to be a mammoth fight.

When shouting at USyk, Fury announced: “Where’s Oleksandr Usyk the little rabbit? You little b****h, you’re next…15 stone little midget beat a bodybuilder, but I ain’t a bodybuilder sucker, I’m going to write you off. I’ve already done one Ukrainian with Klitschko didn’t I, and I’ll do you as well gappy teeth. You ugly little man, you ugly little man… LET’S GET IT ON.”

Video: Ringside footage of Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk facing off

You can see just how intense it was from the ringside footage, giving us extra insight to the moment we were all waiting for when we saw Usyk was in attendance and Fury was heavily expected to get the win, with security allowing the Ukrainian get close to the man he’ll be taking on next.

Hopefully there’s nothing that will come in the way of this fight now, with both men wanting it for a while, surely it’s only a matter of time till we get the official announcement, especially with The Gypsy King taking minimal damage last night.

It’ll surely be a much tougher test for Fury should he step in the ring with Usyk at some point in 2023, with both men probably the best heavyweights in the world currently.
