As noted, Solo laid out Riddle at the conclusion of the opening match on last night's episode of Monday Night Raw.

The former North American Champion hit Riddle with a brutal Umaga's Samoan Spike, as you can see from the footage below, to mark 13 years since his uncle tragically passed away.

Umaga passed away on December 4 in 2009, with Solo taking last night's show as the opportunity to pay tribute to the late wrestler.

How did Umaga pass away?

Umaga's passing is another example of a wrestler passing away significantly before their time, with the former WWE star tragically dying in 2009 at the age of just 36.

The cause of Umaga's death, who worked for WWE between 2001 and 2003 and again from 2005 to 2009, was ultimately put down to a heart attack brought on by an acute toxicity of multiple substances.

His passing came just a few months after his departure from WWE, which came after his second violation of the company's Wellness Policy.

Reports at the time stated that Umaga's refusal to enter rehabilitation was the reason for his release from the company.

Fans have been calling for Umaga to receive an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, especially with The Rock and Roman Reigns, two of his cousins, set to main event the show.

With the Anoa'i family a focal point of WWE as part of The Bloodline, now feels like the perfect time for Umaga to receive his long overdue induction.
