Cody Rhodes is nearing a return to WWE TV, and it seems like he's more ripped than he's ever been before.

The former AEW star tore his right pectoral muscle completely off the bone days before his Hell in a Cell match with Seth Rollins on June 5.

Despite having to undergo surgery and lengthy rehab, reports and recent pictures of Rhodes somehow suggest that he's gotten into the best shape of his life.

What is happening with Cody Rhodes?

Many fans expect Cody Rhodes to return to WWE TV soon, perhaps at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on January 28.

Speaking about that, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rhodes is essentially training completely normally, adding that he's put on a great deal of muscle.

Cody Rhodes' recovery is going well. He's been working heavily with top-level trainers to put on size and strength and hit 240 pounds legit, which may be the thickest he's been in his life. He's back to normal when it comes to his ability to train.

So, with Meltzer suggesting that Rhodes is in the best shape of his life right now, fans are even more excited to see the 37-year-old back on their screens.
