What has Pete O'Rourke said about Mohammed Kudus and Tottenham?

O'Rourke thinks Tottenham may appeal to Kudus, though he expects there to be a lot of competition for his signature.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: "His performances at the World Cup mean it's going to be an intense competition for his services involving all the top clubs across Europe.

"But I think Tottenham, with the stadium, with the manager and Champions League football on offer, it's an attractive proposition for all the top players out there."

How much did Ajax buy Kudus for?

Ajax signed Kudus from Nordsjaelland for €9m (£7.7m) back in 2020, according to GOAL.

Looking at his performances for the Dutch club and Ghana this year, it now seems like an absolute bargain.

In the current campaign, Kudus, who has been playing up front for Ajax, has scored 10 goals in 21 outings, as per WhoScored.

The above includes a fantastic strike against Liverpool in the Champions League, which impressed Jurgen Klopp.

"I'm not sure it was their first attack, but Ajax didn’t have a lot," the Reds manager told BT Sport (via BBC Sport) when discussing Kudus' goal after his side's 2-1 win. "That’s how it is in our situation, anything can happen, but it was an incredible strike from Kudus."

Ajax now look set to make a hefty profit on Kudus, though it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will actually come in with a £40m bid for him.

You suspect, though, that Conte will be keen to strengthen his squad next month. Spurs are in a tight battle for Champions League qualification and remain in this season's edition of the competition.
