Crystal Palace are keen on bringing former player Aaron Wan-Bissaka back to the club but could face competition to do so, Sky Sports Reporter Dharmesh Sheth has told GIVEMESPORT.

Wan-Bissaka has endured a troublesome time at Old Trafford and the Manchester United right-back could leave the club in the January window.

What's the latest news on Wan-Bissaka to Crystal Palace?

Arriving at United in the summer of 2019 amid much fanfare, Wan-Bissaka came in as Antonio Valencia's replacement and was expected to flourish at Old Trafford.

Signing a five-year deal with the club worth an initial £80,000 a week, United paid Crystal Palace £45 million for the then 21-year-old's signature.

Fast forward three years and he could already be shown the exit door, with the Manchester Evening News reporting Wan-Bissaka was told he wasn't part of Erik ten Hag's plans before the conclusion of the 2021/22 campaign.

Both West Ham United and Palace had shown interest in the wantaway defender, but the approach was reportedly rejected by United because of the lack of time to find a replacement.

Now it looks as if Wan-Bissaka's time at the Red Devils could finally be coming to an end, with Palace once again rumoured to be showing interest.

Journalist Ryan Taylor recently told GIVEMESPORT that Wan-Bissaka would be a "realistic option" for Palace to pursue in the January window.

Right-back has proved a problem area for Patrick Vieira's side this season, with former player Wan-Bissaka presenting the ideal solution.

What has Sheth said about Wan-Bissaka to Crystal Palace?

Already well acquainted with the club, Sky Sports reporter Sheth believes a return to Selhurst Park could make sense for all parties, but only if United could recoup some of the £45million transfer fee.

"Remember United spent close to £50 million for Wan-Bissaka," Sheth told GMS.

"I think they'll want some kind of guarantee over getting some of that money back, be that in a loan with an obligation to buy, or straight sale in January.

"The likes of West Ham United and in particular Crystal Palace will be two of quite a few interested parties in Wan-Bissaka this January."

Who else is interested in Wan-Bissaka?

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, West Ham also look set to reignite their interest in the 24-year-old when the January window opens.

Along with Palace, West Ham saw a bid for Wan-Bissaka rejected by United in the summer with David Moyes keen on bringing the right-back to the London Stadium.

The intrigue doesn't end there, with Premier League strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers also said to be exploring a deal, as new boss Julen Lopetegui looks to bolster his options ahead of a cut-throat relegation battle.
