West Ham United’s link to Aaron Wan-Bissaka is ‘probably the one to take most seriously’ at this moment in time, journalist Dean Jones has informed GiveMeSport.
The Hammers have also been credited with an interest in Celtic defender Josip Juranovic by 90min as well, but the Croatia international is believed to be attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
West Ham United transfer news – Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Back in August, The Athletic disclosed in the final days of the summer transfer window that both Crystal Palace and West Ham saw approaches for Wan-Bissaka rejected by Manchester United.
It was claimed that the Red Devils turned down the approaches for the former England Under-21 international, who was signed for £50 million, as it would have been too late to bring in a replacement.
However, Wan-Bissaka, who earns £90,000-per-week, has only played four minutes under manager Erik ten Hag in all competitions this season and is deemed surplus to requirements.
The Manchester Evening News has stated that West Ham are eager to snap up the defensive-minded right-back on loan when the market reopens for business next month.
And Fabrizio Romano has also disclosed that the capital club ‘remain interested’ in Wan-Bissaka, although they could face competition from Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
What has Jones said about Wan-Bissaka?
Jones has told GMS that West Ham are currently ‘trying to explore’ what has gone so wrong for Wan-Bissaka at Old Trafford before they make a formal offer.

He said: “I think the Wan-Bissaka link is probably the one to take most seriously. But obviously, West Ham at the moment have been trying to explore exactly what has gone so wrong for him.
“They want to make sure that he is still the player that they remember him to be and that there are no other issues here.”
Would Wan-Bissaka be a good signing?
Wan-Bissaka’s defensive abilities have rarely been called into question throughout his career, and his underlying numbers illustrate why.
As per FBref, the right-back has ranked in the 98th percentile for blocks and interceptions and the 82nd for tackles amongst his positional peers over the last year.
However, Wan-Bissaka is far less effective in the final third of the pitch and has registered just 12 goal contributions in 127 appearances for United.
The focus for Wan-Bissaka at West Ham under David Moyes would be to defend first, though, meaning a switch to the London Stadium could prove to be beneficial for all parties.
