Leeds transfer news - Noa Lang

Jones recently told GMS that he expects Leeds and Jesse Marsch to make a move for Lang soon.

Regarding how much the 23-year-old could cost, the reliable Fabrizio Romano revealed in one of his CaughtOffside columns that Brugge are likely to demand up to €35m (around £30m) for their player.

Leeds should have money to spend next month after selling Raphinha during the summer and missing out on Cody Gakpo, so Lang's asking price should not be too much of a problem.

Lang was a part of the Netherlands' World Cup squad, making one appearance in Qatar.

What has Dean Jones said about Noa Lang and Leeds?

Leeds are keen on Lang but may have to go up against Everton for his signature, according to Jones.

Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: "Leeds have been hot on Lang for ages and he's very aware of their interest. But Everton are looking for creative options, so that might be something to look out for."

Who is Noa Lang more likely to join, Leeds or Everton?

At this moment in time, you would have to say Leeds. Everton are heading in the wrong direction under Frank Lampard, losing their first game after the World Cup against Wolves, while the Elland Road outfit have been tracking him for some time now. With that in mind, you would expect them to possibly go all out for his signature next month.

And if they are successful in their pursuit of the Netherlands international, then they could be landing a very confident and talented player.

"He may be the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic," Dutch journalist Nico Dijkshoorn wrote in a column for VI earlier this year. "He is half the size, but the confidence is all the same.”

Last season, Lang scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in 31 league appearances for Brugge, as per Transfermarkt. He is an attacker who certainly looks capable of producing in the final third, though the Premier League would be an entirely different test for him.

It appears, though, that the likes of Leeds and Everton feel that he is ready for it.
