Arsenal have a "slim to no chance" of landing Dusan Vlahovic in the January window, transfer insider Dean Jones has revealed.

The Gunners are currently focusing on a deal to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk with Sky Sports reporting they are optimistic about a deal, but have also been linked with a move for the Juventus striker for the second time by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

What's the latest news on Vlahovic and Arsenal?

Having prioritised Vlahovic in last season's January transfer window, the Gunners were left disappointed when the Serbian international eventually signed for Juventus. Putting pen to paper on a £62 million move, Vlahovic signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Serie A giants to keep him contracted at the club until the summer of 2026.

Yet, fast forward 22 months and with Juventus in crisis, the talented forward is already being linked with a move away. CBS reporter Ben Jacobs recently told GIVEMESPORT that Chelsea had been "making inquiries" surrounding the future of Vlahovic at Juventus, amid claims the 22-year-old could leave Juventus as early as January 2023.

Juventus were thrown into crisis when their entire board, including president Andrea Agnelli, resigned over alleged false accounting claims. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus face a real chance of being relegated to Serie B, just 17 years after the club dropped into the second tier of Italian football following the Calciopoli Scandal.

While the off-the-pitch circus continues at Juventus, the future of some of their most prized assets remains in doubt, but suggestions that Vlahovic will arrive at the Emirates Stadium this month appear unlikely.

What's Jones said about Vlahovic to Arsenal?

Speaking in an interview with GMS, transfer insider Jones has all but ruled out claims that Vlahovic would move to Arsenal in January, but did suggest a deal could be done in the summer.

"I'm still told the chances of getting Vlahovic in this window are slim to no chance," Jones said.

"But at the end of the season, if Arsenal maintain this kind of form they will be capable of pretty much anything in the transfer market.

"Juventus are very unsettled at the moment and I think there is a very real chance top talent will be available from them in the summer."

What would Vlahovic offer Arsenal?

A frequent scorer in his Fiorentina days, Vlahovic has found the net at a steady pace since moving to Turin, scoring 16 goals in 36 appearances for Juventus. Averaging a goal every other match, the explosive forward would no doubt improve an already free-flowing Arsenal attack.

While Gabriel Jesus, who joined Arsenal for £45 million in the summer, has been praised for his start to life at the Emirates the Brazilian isn't a natural goal scorer. Should Mikel Arteta wish to continue his side's development, Vlahovic could represent the perfect option for Arsenal in the summer window.
