Here are some steps you need to take in order to save a penalty in FIFA 23.

  • Look at the direction the penalty taker is looking:
    • If he's looking to the left, he's more likely to be kicking the ball to the right.
    • If he's looking to the right, he's more likely to be kicking the ball to the left.
  • Once the penalty taker is already in the middle of his run-up, this means that your opponent will have already decided which way he's going.
  • Move the goalkeeper to the direction you want to save the penalty with your left stick before holding the right stick in that same direction. This will mean that even if the penalty is in a usually unsavable spot, your keeper will still be able to comfortably reach the ball.

It's important to note that this may not work every time, however, it is an excellent method of saving penalties in FIFA 23!
