Manchester United have completed the signing of Jack Butland.
Butland will join United from Crystal Palace on a six-month loan and will be the club's backup to David de Gea.
Butland was actually due to arrive at Old Trafford in the summer with a deal imminent.
However, things changed when United faced Crystal Palace in a pre-season friendly at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
Butland was facing his future club but a move to the Theatre of Dreams fell through after the 3-1 victory for Erik ten Hag's side.
No, they didn't pull out of a deal due to Butland's performance but due to an injury.
Butland started the match but was substituted after just 14 minutes.
Why?
Well, because Anthony Martial broke his hand.
The goalkeeper suffered a broken hand after a superb stop from Martial as the Frenchman bore down on goal. The shot wasn't exactly a powerful one but Martial's shot just caught Butland at the wrong angle, leaving him in agony.
Butland was immediately substituted off before goals from Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho sealed a 3-1 win for Man Utd.

The Athletic have confirmed the story by writing: "The 29-year-oldâs switch from Crystal Palace comes six months after scouts identified him as their first-choice backup goalkeeper to David De Gea. A move was imminent until Butland had his hand broken when saving an Anthony Martial shot in Melbourne during a pre-season game."
Butland has only recently recovered from the injury but is still yet to play any minutes for Palace this season.
Ten Hag: I'm 'really happy' Butland has joined Man Utd
However, Ten Hag insists he's 'really happy' to bring in Butland to replace Martin Dubravka, who has been recalled by Newcastle.
âWhat he is bringing. I am really happy. We have David. It is quite clear he is our number one," Ten Hag said.
âBut something can happen and we have to prepare for that.
âMartin was recalled and how we are set up we need a squad with three goalkeepers. We have so many games so you need three good goalies in training.â
Butland: This is an amazing club
Butland said after the move was confirmed: âThis is an amazing club and one that I am now proud to represent. Iâm really looking forward to working with an unbelievable goalkeeping group, supporting each other every day to create the best training and playing environment for the team.
âIâve played against David de Gea and represented England alongside Tom Heaton; they are top-class âkeepers, and I am relishing the opportunity to compete alongside and support them as teammates.
âThere is a lot that this group can achieve this season and Iâm excited to play my part in helping everyone to reach these ambitions.â
That first meeting in training between Butland and Martial might be a bit awkward mind...
