Eric Bailly was sent off just 15 minutes into Marseille's match against Hyeres on Saturday afternoon.

Marseille went into their match against the fourth tier side as heavy favourites.

But they were reduced to 10 men after Bailly's brutal challenge on Moussa N'Diaye inside the opening 15 minutes.

Moussa N'Diaye tried to launch a counter-attack but he was stopped in his tracks by Bailly.

The former Manchester United defender tried to nip the ball away from N'Diaye.

But N'Diaye got their first and Bailly ended up taking the Hyeres ace down with a boot to the chest. Watch the moment below...

Bailly was almost immediately shown a red card by the referee.

N'Diaye, meanwhile, could not continue.

He was taken away on a stretcher and could be seen being loaded into an ambulance and taken to hospital.

We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

How has Eric Bailly been performing at Marseille?

Bailly is currently on a season-long loan at Marseille.

The Ivorian defender, 28, has suffered with numerous injuries during his short stint at the French club.

Injuries to his leg and thigh have limited him to just 11 appearances with the Ligue 1 giants.

He has completed the full 90 minutes in just two of those games.

Bailly will now likely be out of action for a few games through suspension.
