Tottenham Hotspur are ‘seeking solutions’ to improve their attack following links to Randal Kolo Muani, journalist Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport.

Kolo Muani has been linked to a handful of top clubs around Europe following his impressive exploits at the World Cup, although he only joined his current club Eintracht Frankfurt over the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news – Kolo Muani

French outlet FootMercato have claimed that both Tottenham and fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool are interested in snapping up the 24-year-old.

It’s claimed that Frankfurt could demand up to €80 million (£70m) for their prized asset, whose contract at the Deutsche Bank Park isn’t set to expire until the summer of 2027.

However, securing Kolo Muani’s signature in the January transfer window may prove to be a difficult task for any interested party.

Sky Sports Germany have disclosed that the versatile forward ‘has no interest’ in a winter move, while reporter Alexander Bonengel has stated that the France international sees the Bundesliga as an ‘ideal platform to develop’.

“Although Kolo Muani already has an international format, he still sees development potential in himself and the Bundesliga as an ideal platform for this,” said Bonengel.

What has Jones said about Kolo Muani?

Antonio Conte has recently admitted that Tottenham need more creativity in the final third of the pitch, and Jones has informed GMS that they are searching for ways to provide ‘new impetus in attack’.

In an interview with GMS, he said: “They are seeking solutions at the moment to give them new impetus in attack.

“If you dig around a little bit on this, it's going to be difficult for them to pull off Kolo Muani in this window.”

Would Kolo Muani be a good signing?

Frankfurt snapped Kolo Muani up on a free transfer from Nantes over the summer, and he has already established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s top attacking talents.

In just 23 appearances for the Eagles, he has registered eight goals and 11 assists, firing his side to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

As per FBref, Kolo Muani has also ranked in the 95th percentile for completed dribbles, and 82nd for both expected assists and shot-creating actions amongst his positional peers over the last year.

Conte may view Kolo Muani as the ideal target to improve his attacking options, therefore, but the Italian tactician may have to wait until the summer to stand a chance of signing him.
