Age is just a number is a phrase that is frequently batted around, but in the case of Stone Cold Steve Austin, there is little doubt that the phrase holds weight. Now at the age of 58, the wrestling icon still looks in incredible shape as a video has emerged online of him pumping weights to rock music. On the WWE website, Stone Cold is described as follows, and this new workout footage couldn’t be truer to his character: "Proudly raising his middle fingers in the faces of everyone who dared oppose him, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was the blue-collar warrior for the common man. Clad in jeans and black leather often soaked in beer foam, Austin was defiant, brash and dared anyone to try and tell him what to do. When the signature sound of shattering glass erupted throughout the arena, everyone there knew that it was time to raise hell. And if you happened to be on the receiving end, well, you have our sympathies."Now at 58, instead of raising those middle fingers to his wrestling opponents, he is raising it towards age as he looks as ready to go as ever.Such is his physique in the video, fans have even begun to speculate about a potential wrestling return as part of Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.Don't take just our word for it, though, watch the gym clip below and see for yourself!

The career of Stone Cold Steve Austin

Steve Austin began his wrestling career in 1990 and made his WWE debut in 1996 before going on to become one of the icons of the sport.

During an illustrious career, the American earned six WWE Championships, two Intercontinental Championships, a record three Royal Rumble victories and Triple Crown Champion credentials. In 2009, he was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Despite retiring from wrestling in 2003 after a series of injuries and creative differences, Austin has remained a significant figure around the sport to this day.

Since his retirement, Austin has appeared a number of times as part of event promotions for the WWE, although his role has generally been reduced to delivering his iconic ‘Stone Cold Stunners’ to all those he deems deserving; usually a McMahon of some degree.

He did make his official wrestling return in 2022 in a victory against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38, although this was just a one off.

Even with this relative inactivity in recent years, Austin’s brief return last year and his physical condition right now has left fans in hope of a return.
