Will Chelsea sack Graham Potter?

Chelsea have now won just one of their last nine fixtures in all competitions.

Famous for chopping and changing managers at the drop of a hat, it wouldn’t come as a huge shock to anyone if Chelsea were to part company with Potter in the near future - despite the fact the 47-year-old coach only arrived from Brighton in September.

However, some Chelsea fans waited around at Craven Cottage to offer their support to their under-fire boss after the match.

Footage posted on Twitter shows supporters telling Potter “don’t give up!” and “change the squad, they’re the problem!”

One fan even calls him the “best manager in the world”, while another says he’ll “win the Champions League”.

Judging by this footage, it seems that Potter at least has the backing of sections of Chelsea’s match-going supporters - and this will surely mean an awful lot to him during the most challenging period of his coaching career to date.

What did Graham Potter say after Fulham 2-1 Chelsea?

Speaking about Felix’s red card after full-time, Potter told reporters, per The Sun: "It sums up where we are at the moment - everything that can go wrong, is going wrong.

"Joao Felix was fantastic in the game before that [the sending off], you could see his quality. He was looking dangerous throughout.

"The challenge is unfortunate. It is a bit of a forward's challenge.

"I don't think there was too much malice in it and it is an unfortunate action and we are going to lose him now.

"Even though I thought the boys kept going, Fulham didn't have too much in that period and we had some opportunities ourselves but in the end it is a disappointing evening for us.

"It was a fairly even first half I thought. It was a bit of a mess for the first goal, which we needed to do better with.

"With the greatest respect it was more just basic defensive actions we need to do better with."

"Our response was good in the second half, we scored but the red card made it difficult for us."

And on how the dressing room was after the final whistle, Potter added: "As you can imagine, disappointed. We are in a bad moment, a bad run. We came here with the ambition to win, we haven't done it.

"We feel for the supporters, we are upset. We have to recover."

Chelsea will be desperate to get back to winning ways against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Six days later, the Blues travel to Anfield for a tough away game against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
