Wolves transfer news - Michail Antonio

According to talkSPORT, Wolves have made Antonio a target as they look to bring in more firepower before the window closes.

Goals have been a problem for the Midlands club, who have scored just 12 in the Premier League this season.

To put that into context, it is actually the worst record in the division, showing that manager Julen Lopetegui could perhaps do with a new striker coming in.

Antonio, who is out of contract next year, now appears to be an option for the Spaniard.

What has Dean Jones said about Michail Antonio and Wolves?

Jones says there definitely is interest in Antonio from Wolves. When asked about it, the journalist told GMS: "It's one of those that crops up and you kind of discard it because you think there's no chance Antonio would leave.

"Sometimes a player and a club just seem to be a good fit and go hand in hand, but actually, there is something to this. Antonio is a player of interest."

Michail Antonio's stats for West Ham

Antonio has been a good servant to West Ham since arriving from Nottingham Forest back in 2015 and is a source of goals for the Hammers.

In over 250 games for them, he has found the back of the net on more than 60 occasions, as per Transfermarkt.

Antonio, who earns £85,000 a week at the London Stadium, according to Spotrac, has also proven to be a versatile asset for West Ham. During his time at the club, he has played up front, out wide and even in defence.

Ultimately, with all of his Premier League experience and goalscoring ability, you can see why Wolves would want him. And with less than two years remaining on his contract, he could be an attainable target.

It is shaping up to be a very good transfer window for Wolves, who have already signed Matheus Cunha and Pablo Sarabia. If they can snap up Antonio next, it would be another big boost at Molineux.
