Crystal Palace fans are enjoying Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira as their manager, and we have revealed our top five favourite Palace games since he has been in charge.

The Frenchman was one of the best midfielders on the planet during his playing career at Arsenal, and this helped him join the Premier League Hall of Fame.

The Eagles decided to try something different when they hired him, and they have been used to defensive, low-possession football under former managers like Roy Hodgson, and the risk has paid off.

The possession-based style, which has seen the attack flourish a lot more, has been exciting for fans of the South London club, and it has brought some amazing results.

The Eagles were yet to pick up an away victory yet in the 2022/23 season; however, they were showing great form at home. The South London side finally managed to pick up a win away from home when they faced West Ham at the London Stadium.

The winning goal to make it 2-1 came in the final few minutes as Palace counter-attacked and Michael Olise tried his luck from outside the box. The shot deflected massively, looped over the goalkeeper and went in to cause absolute mayhem in the away end.

4: Crystal Palace 3-0 Arsenal: Vieira thrashes his old club - 4th April 2022

Back in April 2022, the Eagles hosted Arsenal and after drawing 2-2 at the Emirates earlier in the season, there was confidence that the South London side could get a result. No one expected the chaos that followed as the Eagles managed to look comfortable and the dominant side. They made their dominance count as they scored three goals and sent Selhurst Park wild.

3: Crystal Palace 4-0 Everton: The Eagles soar to Wembley - 20th March 2022

For clubs like Crystal Palace, the dream is consistently staying in the Premier League and the hope of winning one of the two domestic trophies available. The FA Cup is the most prestigious competition in the country, and the South London club managed to get to make it to the quarter-final of the competition in the 2021/22 season.

A game awaited at home against fellow Premier League side Everton, and with both sides one game away from a Wembley semi-final, the nerves were high.

The Palace side didn't seem worried by the huge task ahead of them as they easily dismantled Everton and thrashed them 4-0.

Despite the impressive display, Everton manager Frank Lampard did not seem to agree with the Palace fans and neutrals as he gave a hilarious interview in which he claimed Palace's win was nothing to do with the Eagles as he said: "Then we allowed a goal from a corner, then another average goal, a fluke goal and another average goal."

2: Crystal Palace 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur: Vieira gets his first win as manager - 11th September 2021

The Eagles were four games into the 2021/22 season and had picked up two draws and two losses. It wasn't bad for a manager in the early stages of the job, and people believed the winless run would continue as they faced Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park, where former Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo had claimed the Manager of the Month award for his sides solid start to the campaign.

The script was flipped as Crystal Palace thrashed Spurs 3-0, and new signing Odsonne Edouard scored two goals in six minutes, with his first coming with the first touch of his Palace career as he came on to make his debut.

A trip to the home of Manchester City is never easy, and Palace went there expecting a performance in which they would try to keep the hosts from thrashing them. Vieira managed a tactical masterclass as Palace went 1-0 up thanks to Wilfried Zaha in the early stages of the game. City then went down to 10 men, which of course helped, but Pep Guardiola's side is just as good following a sending-off.

The away side managed to seal the deal thanks to a last-minute counterattack, which sent the away end absolutely crazy.
