Odell Beckham Jr and the Los Angeles Rams might still be in a position to work together in the future, according to NFL insider Albert Breer.

Having been a crucial part of the Los Angeles Rams’ run to the Super Bowl last year, this year was certainly one of great disappointment for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, as he has been forced to miss all of it due to an ACL injury that he picked up during the Super Bowl itself.

There was some belief that he would be able to come back this year, with reports suggesting that he was ready to come back into the league around Thanksgiving and then be able to pick which team he was going to come back and play for, with the belief he’d provide a similar boost to his new team that he did the previous year.

It even got to a stage where he was visiting teams to try and get a sense of what he was going to be able to provide them. But either there wasn’t enough faith in his health or he and the teams were too far apart in what they could afford to pay him, and he ended up not signing with anyone during the regular season.

Odell Beckham Jr gets a new window of opportunity

If it was a case that health was a factor in Beckham Jr not signing with a team, then hopefully those fears are going to be alleviated as many of them are currently at home right now as the 2022 NFL season comes to an end, giving him even more time to heal and get ready for the 2023 season instead.

And after a very poor year in which they were only able to win 5 games, they became the first defending champions to finish with a losing record since the 2003 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Rams will need a lot of help bouncing back next season, and after a poor year from their wide receivers in which only one of them managed to make it over 750 yards, Beckham Jr could certainly give them a hand for 2023.

And according to Albert Breer, who was writing in a mailbag column for SI.com, the Rams may well remain in the market for his services as he wrote that:

As for OBJ, we’ll see. I know they haven’t closed that door yet.

So keep your eyes on Beckham Jr during the offseason, because it might well be that the match made in heaven from 2021 is on course to be back together again for 2023.
