We're officially at the halfway point of one of the most unpredictable Premier League seasons.

Arsenal are sweeping aside all before them and look likely to cruise to their first league title in 19 years.

Manchester City are on course for a measly 78-point campaign - a dismal return by their lofty standards.

Whereas Liverpool and Chelsea will lock horns on Saturday in a bumper Premier League clash that will see - oh wait... 9th and 10th place face off.

As a result, us English top-flight fans are witnessing a revolutionized top four that, aside from containing Arsenal and Man City, also features Manchester United and Newcastle. Who would have thought?

However, it's down to the performance of key players that these clubs are where they are.

The likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba have been unstoppable for the Gunners under the guidance of Mikel Arteta.

According to the fans then, Arsenal's Odegaard should be on course to claim the PFA Player of the Year gong, which is hard to disagree with.

Haaland is a worthy second given his goal exploits and De Bruyne rounds off the podium positions.

Dias at fourth is certainly a controversial call... the Portuguese international has long been amongst the Premier League's elite but we haven't seem him at his best in 2022/23.

Toney is the only player not from a top four club that makes the cut. He's been scintillating for the Bees this campaign despite the off-pitch issues he's involved in.

As previously mentioned, Casemiro has been a leading player under Erik ten Hag and is really justifying his lofty price tag as a 30-year-old - he lands sixth.

Whereas his explosive teammate Rashford, who's bagged eight goals already this season, comes in two places further back.

Saka and Jesus represent Arsenal's two other inclusions in the top 10, meaning Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli both miss out.

Newcastle's Trippier rounds off the list, claiming tenth place for his own and the tag of second best defender in the eyes of fans.
