Roman Reigns was directly responsible for Bayley and Becky Lynch's match on WWE Raw is XXX falling apart, it has been claimed.

Raw was set to see a Steel Cage match between Bayley and Becky Lynch last night, but that didn't end up happening.

And now, reports from PWInsider and Figthtful have revealed that Roman was responsible for the match being scrapped.

What happened on WWE Raw is XXX?

Advertised for last night's show, as noted, was a Steel Cage match between Becky and Bayley, but the match didn't actually end up happening.

Instead, Bayley and Damage CTRL attacked Becky before the bell, meaning the match wasn't able to actually get underway.

However, that wasn't the original plan for the show, with PWInsider explaining that Becky was originally slated to win the match, before then being attacked by Bayley's faction.

The steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley did not go as envisioned on tonight's episode of Raw. The original plan was for Becky to win and then be beaten down by Damage CTRL.

Fans online weren't best pleased with WWE for scrapping the match, especially given the lack of female legend representation on the show.

Why didn't Becky Lynch v Bayley happen on Raw is XXX?

However, the decision to scrap the match was actually taken out of Triple H's hands somewhat, at least if reports are to be believed.

Fightful is reporting that The Bloodline segment at the top of the show, featuring Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn, ran much longer than expected, so Bayley and Becky's match had to be scrapped.

The opening segment with the Bloodline ended up going long and several segments needed trimmed. This affected Bayley vs. Becky the most, and they either could work an angle to set up a full-on match, or end up doing a cage match that lasted a minute or two. The end result was what we saw.

So, whether directly or indirectly, it seems like Roman was responsible for WWE having to change its plans for Becky v Bayley, rather than Triple H or anyone else.

Given how high he is on both women, you have to suspect that Triple H will look to book another huge match between the two at some stage in the future, ensuring that it actually happens this time.
