Cristiano Ronaldo has scored many, many goals in his lifetime.

In truth, with more than 800 goals to his name so far, the Portuguese star has found the back of the net so many times throughout the past 20 years, you'd imagine he'd struggle to remember some of them.

That's why the team over at Live Score took it upon themselves to remind the striker of his most memorable matches and get him to give his thoughts on some of the games that shaped his career.

Ronaldo's most memorable moments

  • First career goal

Ronaldo's first competitive career goal came in a 3-0 win for Sporting Lisbon against Moreirense.

"It would be impossible not to remember my first goal. It was a special goal - one of the clubs in my heart is Sporting - unbelievable memories," he said.

  • First Champions League winner's medal

Ronaldo has five Champions League titles to his name but who could forget his first, which came while playing for Man United against Chelsea in 2008.

The Portuguese star scored a bullet header to give United the lead but missed his penalty in the shoot-out.

In the end, however, United still went on to claim a historic victory.

"Champions League finals are always special games. It's in that moment that your heart starts beating faster," Ronaldo stressed.

"I remember that I scored the opening goal, but after Petr Cech saved [my] penalty... I was happy, sad, happy. Three times that your mood changes in one game."

  • Winning Euro 2016

The Euro 2016 final was a tale of mixed emotions for Ronaldo.

Though the forward went off injured in the final against France, Portugal went on to defeat the hosts in extra time and Ronaldo hailed the win as one of the best of his career.

"I get the injury and I come out the game crying - I was nervous crying in the changing room, with my knee completely swelling.

"Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Probably the most important trophy I've ever had in my career."

  • Champions League win vs Atletico Madrid

In 2016, Real Madrid were taken to penalties by rivals Atletico in the Champions League final.

Uncharacteristically, Ronaldo had few chances in front of goal during the game but ultimately scored the winning penalty to secure yet another European title.

"I scored [the] goal. I took my shirt off with the veins on my neck. Unbelievable," he emphasised.

  • Hat-trick vs Spain

Ronaldo is still to get his hands on the World Cup trophy but he has still produced some iconic moments in the competition.

His hat trick against Spain at the 2018 World Cup will live long in the memory, especially his scintillating free-kick late on.

"It was a [special game.] To score a hat-trick against Spain in a World Cup is special.

"Again, unbelievable moments for Portugal's national team and even more special because I scored three goals - so easy."

As if there was any doubt before, this video proves that Ronaldo is one of the greatest finishers of all time and has been involved in some truly memorable matches over the years.

Whether or not we'll see any more magic moments though. Well, that's a different question.
