Cristiano Ronaldo had an interesting reaction after walking into a restaurant in Saudi Arabia and seeing almost everyone filming him.

Ronaldo hasn't had the perfect start to life in Saudi.

His debut was delayed due to a suspension for smashing a mobile phone out of the hands of a young Everton fan.

How is Ronaldo getting on in Saudi Arabia?

His first action since leaving Manchester United came for the Riyadh All-Star side in an exhibition against Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain. He scored twice during an entertaining 5-4 win for the French champions.

While that was all a bit of fun, the serious work has started.

On his Al-Nassr debut last weekend, Ronaldo featured during a 1-0 victory over Ettifaq.

But on Thursday, he couldn't prevent his side from falling to a 3-1 defeat to Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semi final.

Not an ideal start for Cristiano then.

What about off the pitch?

But how is life off the pitch in Saudi Arabia?

Earlier this month, we explained how he was staying at the incredible Riyadh’s Four Seasons hotel.

According to the Daily Mail, Ronaldo and his entourage will spend the next month at the hotel with the very best views over the capital.

Ronaldo’s team, featuring his family, friends and security will take up 17 rooms at the hotel and the overall bill over the next month will be around £250,000.

Ronaldo has the option of a chef providing an exclusive in-room dining service for Ronaldo and his family.

But after moving to a new country - and with money certainly not of any concern whatsoever - it's understandable that Cristiano may want to leave his hotel suite to try the incredible restaurants that Riyadh has to offer.

He attempted just that earlier this week - although he may wish he hadn't bothered.

Ronaldo walked into a fancy-looking restaurant and was met with dozens of phones pointed in his direction. All the diners clearly knew Ronaldo was on his way and had their camera phones ready to film his every move.

How did Ronaldo react?

Well, he seemed a bit miffed, in truth.

In response, Ronaldo whipped out his own phone and appeared to pretend to film the diners in return. Almost as if to say 'How do you like it?'

The pleasures of being one of the most famous and recognisable people on planet earth.
