Aston Villa could be 'tempted' to enter the race for Leeds United ace Jack Harrison as Unai Emery searches for another forward player, transfer insider Dean Jones has informed GIVEMESPORT.

The Villans have already been hard at work this month, completing deals to take Alex Moreno and Jhon Duran to Villa Park from Real Betis and Chicago Fire, respectively.

Aston Villa Transfer News - Jack Harrison

Lately, talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook detailed that Aston Villa were one of several Premier League sides that are 'keen' on prizing Harrison away from Leeds United.

The 26-year-old has also attracted interest from the likes of Leicester City and Newcastle United this month, while Crook has let on that his future could be decided in the final stretch of the window.

Crook has also recently spoken to GIVEMESPORT about the issue, saying that he wouldn't be surprised "if they [Aston Villa] pulled a rabbit out of the hat in the final day of the January window” by signing Harrison.

What has Dean Jones said about Jack Harrison?

Transfer insider Jones has stated that Aston Villa could be a potential destination for Harrison to 'land' before the close of play.

When asked about Harrison's future at Leeds United, Jones told GMS: "I mean, they're [Leeds Utd] clearly tempted [to bring in another forward] and you wonder if it's linked to Jack Harrison.

"One thing I did hear this morning is that the Harrison situation might be becoming more open than it has been at any other point in the month and actually, Aston Villa was one of the teams that was suggested to me as a potential place for him to land."

Who else could Aston Villa sign on deadline day?

Asides from £35 million-rated ace Harrison, Aston Villa have also been linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher before the close of play, as per The Athletic.

Competition for the 22-year-old is high, with West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Newcastle all showing an interest in his services at this late stage.

Of course, Premier League basement battlers Everton had also been very keen to add the England international to the fold at Goodison Park; however, were told that Gallagher had no desire to join from Chelsea.

Leaving plenty of room for a potential deal to be done, could Villa boss Emery have a trick or two up his sleeve before 11pm tonight?
