Antony has come under heavy criticism since his big-money move to Manchester United this summer. The Brazilian winger has come under fire from fans and pundits alike since moving to the Premier League from Ajax for £86 million last year. And now, Gabby Agbonlahor has become the latest ex-player to target Antony, launching a furious rant at the 22-year-old on talkSPORT, even copying his signature spin.

What did Gabby Agbonlahor say about Antony?

As noted, Antony is catching some flack for his performances in a Man United shirt so far, and Agbonlahor joined in on the party on talkSPORT today.

The former Aston Villa striker claimed that Antony's five goal contributions in 22 games simply aren't enough for someone that commanded the fee that the Brazilian winger did last summer.

Agbonlahor even said that Antony needs to become more like Ashley Young in his ability to whip crosses into the box and beat a man, rather than always cutting inside, something that has led to fans labelling him predictable thus far.

You can listen to Gabby's rant for yourself below, which talkSPORT has dubbed as "furious"...

To make matters even worse, Gabby then copied the signature spin that Antony does, which he's been massively mocked for whenever he's brought it out since joining Man United this season.

How are Man United doing this season?

While Antony may have not hit the ground running since joining Man United, his side are performing well in both the Premier League and in domestic competitions.

After beating Nottingham Forest 2-0 last night, Man United are now in the final of the Carabao Cup, just one game away from winning their first trophy since 2017.

United currently sit in fourth position in the Premier League, with Erik ten Hag being heavily praised for the work he's done since moving to Manchester from Ajax over the summer.

With Jadon Sancho now back, making his first appearance since October last night, Antony will be hard pressed to improve on his output, or risk sitting on the bench.
