Manchester United 'will explore' bringing in cover for Diogo Dalot in the summer, focusing on either a right-back or a 'versatile' full-back that could fit the brief, CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has informed GIVEMESPORT.
The Red Devils made three signings during the transfer window, sealing loan deals for Wout Weghorst, Jack Butland and Marcel Sabitzer.

In the January window, Manchester United had reportedly earmarked several players as targets to bolster the right-hand side of the backline with Fabrizio Romano telling GMS that the club was "100% open" to selling Wan-Bissaka.
On his YouTube channel, transfer guru Romano also recently revealed that Croatia international Josip Juranovic was top of their list before he eventually completed a £10 million move to Union Berlin from Celtic.
In the end, Manchester United decided against the move and performed a U-turn owing to the positive form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has deputised well for Dalot since the Premier League resumed following the World Cup in Qatar.
Across the window, Nelson Semedo, Jeremie Frimpong and Denzel Dumfries were all mooted to be of interest to Erik ten Hag to add competition at right-back; however, the Red Devils chose to maintain their options of Dalot and Wan-Bissaka for the second half of the season.

CBS Sports journalist Jacobs believes that Manchester United will still be on the lookout for a right-sided defender come the summer.
Jacobs told GMS: "They still want some cover for Diogo Dalot as well in terms of a right-back or a versatile kind of full-back, so that's another area where they will explore."
Should Manchester United target another right-back?
In essence, the question comes down to whether £90,000-a-week Wan-Bissaka impresses enough between now and the end of the season, with Dalot being the preferred choice when both players are fully fit.
Wan-Bissaka has been in good form for the Red Devils in recent weeks, with WhoScored noting that he has recorded an average rating of 7.09/10 for his exploits on the pitch this campaign.
The 25-year-old looks to be living up to the initial promise that brought him to the club for £50 million from Crystal Palace back in 2019.
Moving forward, Ten Hag will be hoping for more of the same as he eyes some silverware and a top-four finish to cap off a promising first season in the Old Trafford dugout.
