Manchester United are 'monitoring' Dusan Vlahovic and 'interested' in tempting the Juventus star to Old Trafford in the summer, respected journalist Rudy Galetti has told GiveMeSport.

The Red Devils completed the loan acquisitions of Jack Butland, Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer last month, but boss Erik ten Hag will be handed another opportunity to strengthen his squad when the transfer window reopens.

Man United transfer news - Dusan Vlahovic

According to 90min, Manchester United were among a number of European giants to be offered the chance to sign Vlahovic ahead of the winter deadline.

The report suggests the striker is admired behind the scenes at Old Trafford and Juventus are willing to sanction his exit in the summer, while Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also aware of his availability.

It is understood that Manchester United will closely monitor Vlahovic's performances during the remainder of the campaign before deciding whether to meet his £72million valuation.

But transfer insider Dean Jones recently told GiveMeSport that Chelsea could also head to the negotiating table for the Serbia international in the summer.

Newcastle United are further suitors of Vlahovic and may pounce if they qualify for next season's Champions League.

What has Rudy Galetti said about Vlahovic?

Galetti understands that Juventus would be willing to cash-in on Vlahovic if one of his admirers are willing to stump up £72million.

The Italian journalist is aware that Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are among the clubs keeping tabs on the 23-year-old's situation.

Galetti told GiveMeSport: "The Bianconeri have already set his price tag at around €80million.

"In the Premier League, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in him. They are monitoring the position of Dusan Vlahovic very carefully."

Would Vlahovic be a good signing for Man United?

Vlahovic could be the perfect replacement for Weghorst when his loan move from Burnley expires as FBref statistics show he has averaged more goals and shots per 90 minutes this season.

The frontman has found the back of the net seven times and registered a further two assists since the campaign got underway.

Vlahovic has been prolific from the very start of his career and has already got his name on the scoresheet 68 times over the course of his spells with Juventus, Fiorentina and Partizan Belgrade.

Sofascore data highlights that the frontman averages a Serie A goal every 146 minutes this term, which is no mean feat.

There is no doubt that Vlahovic, who joined Juventus in a deal worth £66.6million just over 12 months ago, would be an exciting addition to Manchester United's squad.
