Unless you've been living in a cave with no internet connection, you'll know that Chelsea spent a heck of a lot of money in the January transfer window.New owner Todd Boehly was on a one-man mission to revamp the Blues' struggling squad - and he certainly delivered the goods.Enzo Fernandez was signed for a Premier League record fee of £106 million, while the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Benoit Badashile and Joao Felix were also brought in.Due to the fact Chelsea signed so many players last month, some big decisions were always going to have to be made with regards to their Champions League squad.And sadly, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been on the receiving end of a very, very bad one.The former Arsenal striker, who was only signed back in the summer from Barcelona, has been removed from the 25-man squad.Journalist Matt Law says the feeling now is the club are trying to force out the Gabon international, who's really struggled for goals when handed opportunities this season.On UEFA's official website, Mudryk, Felix and Fernandez are the three signings who have been added to the Champions League roster, which means Badashile surprisingly misses out.Noni Madueke, Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana will also not be playing European football for Chelsea in the remainder of this season either.
