Mykhailo Mudryk was the talk of the town after his first display in the Premier League wearing a Chelsea shirt. Two weekends ago, the Ukrainian - who was signed from Shakhtar Donetsk for a whopping £88.5 million - came off the bench against Liverpool and looked a world beater.Mudryk terrorised poor ol' James Milner from his position on the left-wing and nearly proved to be Chelsea's match winner on the day.The 22-year-old received praise from far and wide following the hugely impressive cameo at Anfield, with Gary Neville writing on Twitter that he "wouldn’t like to play against him".As such, optimism among Chelsea fans was high for Mudryk's first Premier League start against Fulham on Friday evening. The pressure was on Mudryk to live up to the enormous hype - and sadly for him, he failed rather spectacularly.Lining up alongside fellow January signing Enzo Fernandez at Stamford Bridge, the lightning-quick forward had a bit of a shocker in front of his new fans.Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea challenges for the ball with Kenny TeteLONDON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 03: Kenny Tete of Fulham is challenged by Mykhailo Mudryk of Chelsea during the Premier League match between Chelsea FC and Fulham FC at Stamford Bridge on February 03, 2023 in London, England. (Photo by Justin Setterfield/Getty Images)To put it kindly, Mudryk looked completely lost out on the left in the first half.Sure, he wasn't helped by some lacklustre performances in midfield, but even when the ball arrived his feet, there was no sign of magic being produced.Fulham right-back Kenny Tete had the mega-money signing firmly inside his pocket, so much so that Graham Potter opted to bring Mudryk off at half-time.The bold call by the Chelsea manager means Mudryk finished the match with some rather embarrassing personal statistics, with '0' a common theme.

Mudryk's awful stats from Chelsea 0-0 Fulham

Wow. Mudryk will likely go on to have a very successful career in English football, but his first start in the Premier League will forever be in the 'Hall of Shame'.

Todd Boehly won't be watching his new man's highlight reel on repeat over the weekend...

Fulham's stubborn, well-organised defence was simply too much for Mudryk and Marco Silva's blueprint will no doubt be copied by many other teams when they make the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Potter confirmed after the game that Mudryk had been suffering with a heavy cold in the build-up, so you have to wonder whether it would've been best keeping him out the firing line.

On the flip side, Noni Madueke, who came on for the Ukraine international at half-time, was pretty impressive on Chelsea debut.

The young Englishman looked a constant threat, even when he was shifted to the right-hand side following Raheem Sterling's second half introduction.

Don't be surprised if Madueke gets the nod to start away at West Ham United next weekend.
