Arsenal fans would have been celebrating Harry Kane's goal for Tottenham against Manchester City on Sunday.

Kane scored the only goal of the game as Spurs beat City 1-0.

On Saturday, Arsenal lost just their second league match of the season against Everton.

City had the opportunity to move to within two points of the Gunners with victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. If they did that, the title race would be very much on.

However, Kane's first half strike - a record-breaking 267th goal for Tottenham - won the match for his side and ensured remained five points clear with a game in hand.

Gooners may not want to admit it but they would have celebrated Kane's goal and Tottenham's win like one of their own.

One of our own - a chant aimed at Kane by Tottenham fans.

However, Kane actually grew up as an Arsenal fan.

Kane joined the Arsenal youth academy when he was eight. He was released a year later for being "a bit chubby" and not "very athletic", according to Liam Brady who was then in charge of the academy.

Images are often shared on social media of Kane in an Arsenal shirt, celebrating the club's Invincible campaign in 2003/04. In fact, that was the last time the Gunners won the top-flight.

And footage has now also emerged that appears to show Kane at Highbury celebrating Arsenal's Invincibles.

Is it actually him?

Fans certainly think so.

How poetic that it could be Kane who scored the goal that put Arsenal closer to the title than they've ever been since 2004.

Kane: It was a magical moment

Kane broke Jimmy Greaves' goalscoring record at Spurs with his strike against City and the striker knew it was a special moment for him.

"It's a magical moment. I was so desperate to do it with a win - once we went 1-0 up it was about the clean sheet," he said.

"To do it in front of the fans is a special moment. There has been so much talk about it, I just wanted to get it done. So, to do it in a big game against one of the best teams in the world is special.

"When I started playing regularly, it wasn't even in my imagination to score 200 Premier League goals. To be there now is exciting and I've got plenty of years left, so there will be a few more to come."
