Mascot does the Dab before Celtic v Manchester City

Football News

It seems everyone is doing the dab these days.

Paul Pogba has certainly increased the popularity of the hip hop dance move, as has his Manchester United teammate Jesse Lingard.

So it’s no surprise that it’s rubbed off on Britain’s youngsters - one of whom produced a brilliant dab ahead of this evening’s Champions League clash between Celtic and Manchester City. (Scroll down to watch the video).

As the camera panned across the City team, with the Champions League music blaring across Celtic Park, it reached the lad standing in front of David Silva.

You could just tell by the way he was looking at the camera that he was about to do something mischievous.

Fortunately, he didn’t swear or anything. He just did the dab - although he probably needs a bit more practice, or perhaps a few tips from Pogba.

Brilliant first half

The match itself got off to a rip-roaring start.

Moussa Dembele handed Celtic a shock lead in the third minute, before Fernandinho equalised for the Premier League leaders eight minutes later.

Raheem Sterling’s own goal put Celtic back ahead in the 20 minute, but the English winger made amends by levelling the scores soon after.
