There are not many superstars in the WWE today who can stand toe-to-toe with the Beast Incarnate himself, Brock Lesnar.
However, there are a few names down the years that fans wish they could see lineup against, arguably, the biggest attraction in sports entertainment.
Superstars like Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and the vast majority of the roster never stood a chance against Lesnar because of his sheer size (Even though Rollins technically never lost to Lesnar); it's very hard for the fans to believe they could really beat the Mayor of Suplex City.
Even Roman Reigns and John Cena couldn't face up to him, but stars like The Rock and Batista certainly have the build to take him on.
One man who could certainly give Lesnar a run for his money, either in the ring or the octagon, is Bobby Lashley.
The former WWE superstar and now TNA world heavyweight champion told former WWE announcer Jim Ross on his podcast this week that he believes there would be great interest in seeing the two behemoths go at it.
“You know, I hear that all the time, and J.R., you know as well as I do, it’s not in my hands. If you ask me, I would say absolutely, but it’s the powers that be. I think that there’s enough fans who would love to see it. They’ve been saying it from day one. And you know what the funny thing about it is? I’ve never met Brock in person. Never crossed paths with Brock anywhere. So we don’t even know each other at all, whatsoever.”
Due to their similar, muscular builds, fans have always speculated what might happen should the two collide, and Lashley sees big money in the fight.
“And I’ve always been compared to Brock, and they say ‘Are you and Brock gonna fight? Are you and Brock gonna wrestle? I don’t know if the fighting is still an opportunity with me being in Bellator and him kind of being with the UFC; or I don’t know what the situation is right now. So I don’t know if the fight thing is possible, but to see me as Brock’s destroying everyone and save the day, or vice versa, whatever the case is, have us stand face to face? I think the crowd would go insane. And there’s a tremendous amount of money in it. If it were to happen, then I’m open for it.”
