J.J. Watt releases statement after suffering back injury

The Houston Texans have made a pretty good start to the 2016 NFL season, seeing themselves sit on a nice 2-1 record.

The one in that was a bad one, though, as it saw the Texans go down to the New England Patriots and their third string quarterback while putting up a big goose-egg on the scoreboard.

It got even worse this week, however, as JJ Watt was put on Injured Reserve after news broke that the defensive end was suffering from a bad back injury that would require some significant time on the sidelines.

After the news was announced, Watt took to social media to deliver a message to fans of him and the Texans in general about his recovery.

"I haven't missed a game since my sophomore year of high school," Watt said in a tweet.

"This won't be fun, but it is necessary in order for me to return to 100% and play at the level that I am capable of playing at."

Is anyone shocked by the fact that Watt hasn't missed a game since high school? No, well that just goes to show the fight of the man. He must've played through pain on so many occassions.

There is a chance that Watt could be out for the rest of the season. If that proves to be true, then the Texans playoff hopes will take a huge hit.
