Roman Reigns has revealed in a recent interview with Michael Cole how a lack of direction was frustrating him with his WWE career.
The former Shield member has had quite a turbulent couple of years with the company following the split of the stable, with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose seemingly growing more popular with the WWE fanbase.
Despite WWE officials clearly wanting Reigns to be their next 'top guy' and the next face of the company, the WWE Universe were not having it and quickly did all they could to prevent it from happening.

Reigns won the Royal Rumble last year, but he was booed out of the arena, and quite frankly, he's been booed out of every arena ever since.
No matter who the Samoan feuds with, he's seemingly unable to win the fans over, even when sharing the ring with Triple H and Rusev, two of the biggest heels in the company.
His involvement in the title picture is seemingly over, following his less-than-successful title reign, and his shortcomings in feuds ever since, but he has got a title around his waist.
At Clash of Champions, Reigns beat Rusev for the United States Championship, ending the Bulgarian's long-standing reign.
In the aftermath of winning the title, Reigns has spoken to WWE commentator Cole in an interview for the official website.
Cole was quick to say how he felt Reigns was cutting a disgruntled and frustrated figure, to which he agreed with.
Reigns said he was growing frustrated with the lack of direction and he now feels with the US Title around his waist, he can start rebuilding himself and claw his way back to the top of the mountain.
The former Shield member stated having the belt gave him the right mindset, and he's now ready to get his head down and grind until he's back to the top.
