Everybody knows that Tom Brady would be the New England Patriots' starting quarterback next week as his four-game suspension would be over by then, but for this week's contest against the Buffalo Bills, the person starting at quarterback still remained a mystery.

Both Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett were limited in practice all week and also listed as questionable in the Patriots' official injury report on Friday, meaning the starting quarterback for their game against their divisional rivals remained unclear.

However, according to reports, this is no longer the case. Garoppolo will be the one under center taking the snaps on Sunday.

Pro Football Talk has reported that the 24-year-old will be the starter against the Bills despite him being listed as questionable for the matchup due to a shoulder injury which caused him to miss part of week two's game against the Miami Dolphins, and all of week three's game against the Houston Texans.

Brissett was also listed as questionable on Friday's injury report due to a thumb injury he picked up in the game against the Texans. It now looks like he will be the backup for this Sunday's game, but if he and Garoppolo weren't able to play, it could have left a dilemma for New England at quarterback.

Crisis seems to have been avoided though if the reports are true, and Patriots fans will be hoping he'll keep performing well enough for the team to earn another victory to retain their undefeated start to the season, just in time for Brady to return and carry on this playoff run.

It could also be the last chance for Garoppolo to make a name for himself to intrigue the interest of other teams acquiring his services next season, as the Patriots won't likely keep him around if Brady doesn't decide to retire anytime soon.

Neither do they want to lose him for nothing in the free agency in 2018 when his contract with the team expires as he is a good quarterback, so the stage is set for him to perform this weekend in order for him to create the best future for him possible.
