Football News

For weeks now, fans watching Smackdown live have seen the WWE's newest returning name promoting himself through a string of bizarre videos.

Curt Hawkins has been spouting off strange facts about himself, including that he can win a game of connect four in three moves and that he has counted to infinity twice.

Finally some action

The videos are mostly funny from the returning superstar but they have left fans wondering just when they will actually see him make his Smackdown debut?

Tonight that question as answered as Hawkins himself revealed that he will be making his debut at No Mercy this Sunday.

Hawkins will be stepping into a WWE ring for the first time since he was released from his contract in 2014.

He announced his return in a video that ran during tonight's episode of Smackdown and while we now know that he will be back on Sunday, we don't know who his opponent will be.

Hawkins has previously spent a lot of time in the WWE and is one in a string of returning superstars being brought in to add depth to the roster now that the shows are once again split.

Surely there is one big name for Hawkins to go up against on Sunday in Zack Ryder - his former tag team partner.

Either way, the return of Hawkins will be very interesting to see where he ends up on the Smackdown roster and just who his first feud will be?

One down

With Hawkins returning this Sunday, the only other big name returning superstar we have yet to see is Shelton Benjamin.

Benjamin's return was announced after the draft - shortly before he suffered an injury which has kept him out since.
