Training with Cristiano Ronaldo must be a joy at times - watching one of the best footballers in the history of the game on a daily basis firsthand must be a sight to behold.

However, there are times when playing alongside Ronaldo in training will make you feeling pretty foolish.

Pepe has the tough task of attempting to play against Ronaldo during both Madrid and Portugal training sessions - something he probably doesn’t enjoy.

But he was made to look even more inadequate than he already does during Portugal’s latest session.

Ronaldo was showing off his skills by catching the ball between his legs whilst passing with his Madrid teammate. The former Manchester United star made it look extremely easy so Pepe thought he’d give it a go.

However, Pepe is known for his tough-tackling not his skills and couldn’t quite pull it off. Even after Ronaldo attempted to teach him, Pepe just couldn’t quite get the ball to stay between his legs.

It’s pretty funny watching him try but ultimately fail.

Ronaldo is credited for helping Portugal to Euro 2016 glory, despite coming off injured during the final. The three-time Ballon d’Or winner, who could barely walk thanks to a knee injury, barked orders from the touchline and helped his nation beat France 1-0 after extra-time during the final.

However, Ronaldo credits Pepe for being Portugal’s best player during the tournament and believes he, rather than Antoine Griezmann, should have won the best player of the tournament award.

"In my book, Pepe was extraordinary this year," he told "It was possibly his best season.

"He was undoubtedly Portugal's best player and one of Real Madrid's best players in the Champions League.

"I'm delighted he was selected in the Team of the Tournament at the Euros – in my opinion Pepe was the best player at the Euros.”

He may be an accomplished defender but can he catch a ball in between his legs? No, he certainly can’t.
