Troy Deeney appears to have a bit of an obsession with birthdays and cars.
It was only in July when the Watford captain received some backlash from his Instagram followers by splashing out on a £180,000 Lamborghini for his 28th birthday.
But that hasn't deterred the Premier League striker from his lavish spending as he has gone all out to celebrate his mum's birthday.
On Saturday, Deeney risked feeling the wrath of his following again by showing off his latest big purchase on Instagram.
This time, however, it was a very nice gift to his mother, Emma, in the form of a very slick looking Mercedes - which, depending on the model costa at least £60,000.
And, unlike the Lamborghini post, it has been received much more positively by his fans, who were, no doubt, extremely jealous at Deeney's present.
The Hornets star obviously has had a bit of extra time on his hands after missing out on an international call up to Gareth Southgate's first England squad.
The forward scored an impressive 13 goals in his debut season in the Premier League last term and has already found the back of the net three times in the current campaign.
Deeney's form has led to increased calls from fans and pundits alike for the 28-year-old to be given the chance at international level, including Alan Shearer.
"He is an integral part to how Watford play. I like the way he leads that team and drags them around," Shearer told Match of the Day.
"If there's another injury then he should be given an opportunity."
Given the current stain surrounding English football after the newspaper sting which forced Sam Allardyce to lose his job, Southgate might have been wise to err on the side of caution with Deeney.
The former Walsall striker spent three months in prison in 2012 after being involved in a brawl, during which he kicked a man in the head.
Since then, however, the Watford captain has certainly turned a corner and as his latest Instagram post proves, he is certainly generous to his friends and family.
