WWE star Tyson Kidd tweets out an update on his injury

Tyson Kidd has been out of action for the WWE since he received a severe neck/spinal injury from Samoa Joe during a dark match on Raw back in June last year.

It's still unclear as to when Kidd will return to the ring due to how severe his injury was. WWE may not even want to bring the superstar back because of the risks that come along with it of possible reinjury of the same area.

The former tag team champion has updated his fans on his status, and although it's not the best of news, it is a progression in the right direction.

He tweeted out earlier this week how difficult he was still finding it to move his head the way he used to almost a year and a half on, saying: "I can't feel my head or move my head the way I used to, but EVERY day I'm focused on my recovery"

The tweet, which you can see below, also showed two pictures of his neck, one with staples in and another without.

Kidd's contract has been renewed with the WWE according to NoDQ, so he won't be leaving the company, but the severity of his injury means we shouldn't expect the WWE to rush him back. His tweet this past week pretty much confirms he won't be back anytime soon anyways.

However, the longer Kidd is out, the more the company progresses without him, and they're in a good spot right now following the recent brand split. They're providing opportunities to newer stars to the main roster, meaning if Tyson was to return, the company might not have a competitive role for him.

As each day passes, it looks more and more likely that he will never wrestle in the WWE again, not due to the fact they don't want to risk reinjuring him or that he isn't good enough, but because the company simply doesn't need him.
