Ziggler got the better of the Miz in a match that constantly went back and forwards and had the fans chanting "This is Awesome" almost the whole way through.

It really was a good match and despite the two remaining members of the Spirit Squad getting involved and Miz's wife Maryse, Ziggler was able to overcome the odds.

It all went downhill for Miz when the two surviving members of the Spirit Squad and Maryse were all ejected from ringside for interfering with the match.

Whilst Miz pleaded with the referee not to send them away, he didn't notice a resilient Ziggler get back to his feet.

This lapse in concentration cost Miz as he was then finished off by Ziggler - bringing to an end his Intercontinental championship reign - a reign that had last since the night after WrestleMania.

Many had expected to see Ziggler pack his bags tonight and depart the company following the show, but it al proved to be a work as Ziggler was instead crowned the Intercontinental Champion.

Miz is of course entitled to a rematch and that will surely happen sooner rather than later as it is hard to imagine him being satisfied without the belt.
