Joe Hart has had a difficult few months but tonight he reminded everyone just how good of a goalkeeper he really is.
England’s number one wasn’t at his best during this summer’s European Championships - making errors in matches against both Wales and Iceland.
It didn’t get much better for Hart upon his return to Manchester, either.
New Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola declared that Hart wasn’t good enough with the ball at his feet and brought in Claudio Bravo from Barcelona.
It left Hart needing to find a new club with just days remaining of the transfer window and he did just that in the form of Italian club Torino.
Although Hart made a mistake on his Serie A debut, he has started to discover his best form and remains as the best goalkeeper in England.
And, during the Three Lions’ World Cup qualifier against Slovenia, he proved exactly why Gareth Southgate is keeping him between the sticks.
Hart pulled off a number of fantastic stops during the encounter, including a phenomenal save to prevent Slovenia from taking the lead from a corner. And when we say phenomenal, we mean it.
A corner was flicked on and Hart somehow clawed the ball onto the crossbar and prevented it from crossing the line with a second touch.
Check out the save for yourselves, here:
Hart injured himself whilst making the save but, after some treatment, was able to continue.
With the match against Slovenia being a very drab affair, Hart’s heroics were probably the main talking point.
Therefore, Twitter exploded when something had actually happened in the match and praised Hart for his incredible stop.

We wonder how Guardiola reacted to Hart’s performance. He probably would have claimed that Hart should have just brought the ball down on his chest and played the ball out of the back like Bravo would have done…
